Rating of 3.5000 with 34 votes backups using CVS save you lot of spaceAs you probably already know, having backups off your changes are very valuable. However if you just make copies of your project directory, you'll waste a lot of space. Sooner, or later you'll either fill your disk or your home directory won't fit on you're backup medium. Here is where CVS (or SVN, or other variants) comes into play. Setup CVS on your computer and then commit changed files as often as you like. CVS will only save the changes of your files, so it won't take that much disk space. In addition to making backups smaller CVS provides other nice features.
